1. I'M BAAAAACK! On a computer that's been patched up more times than I don't know. Frankenweenie?

A little bull terrier in black in white with stitches around his ear and bolts on his neck

This is good 'cause txtLJ apparently doesn't work too well on my phone. WHY DID YOU MAKE TWO POSTS, LJ?!!!? ><

2. I've been keeping myself busy without the internets for the past um. MONTH? It seems like a really long time, way longer than that. XD I guess that's what happens when you start thinking in internet time.

3. In case anybody didn't guess, I got voted out of LJ Idol. I really didn't mind toooo much because I sure the heck didn't do so hot that week and it was suuuch a pain to borrow a computer for it for just ONE week. I can't imagine how bothersome it woulda been if I'd kept going without a computer! But I had a good run...I met tons of awesome people *glomps you Idolers*, made lots of new entries *browses through her lj idol tag* and even got to experience a teensy bit of internets fame. It was a good time, and I'm looking forward to catching up in the Green Room!

4. Without the internets I basically spend my free time like a grade schooler. XD I've been reading (mostly kids books), making crafts (watercolor painting, making silly jewelry, mod podging), gardening (on my window sill!) and playing video games (OMG does anybody else play Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver?)

5. Now I'm back in school. -______- But also :D! Summer school will help me graduate early! And soon it's time to start looking at...GRAD SCHOOL? DUN DUN DUNNN.

6. Hokay, time to haunt yous guys' LJs!

Going without internet would drive me completely crazy! Though spending time like a grade schooler would be fun. Sounds like something I would do :)

Yay for finishing school early!

It is hard the first week or so...then I remember what I used to do before the internets, and it's kinda nice!

Wait...thought you already were in grad school? *is confused*. Anyways, I've been reading mostly kids' books too this summer; after 2 years of reading authors like Proust and Joyce, my brain needs a vacation, lol. ; )

Which kids' books are you reading?

Nooope, just plain regular university.

I never finished my degree the first time, sooo. *fails* -__-

Let's see...right now I'm rereading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (which I guess isn't REALLY a kid's book, but...), but I also reread the first The Black Cauldron and Hatchet. I also read (for the first time!) a collection of Hans Christian Anderson and um...TWILIGHT.

I wanted to see what the buzz was about. I think I like Cedric Diggory a bit more than Edward Cullen. *nods*

Oh I love Hans Christian Anderson! I have a beautiful book with the most gorgeous illustrations that I grew up on :) Kids' books are often my favorites to read still as well. I will just never grow up!

What have you been reading? I can always use more to-reads!

Um...The Berenstain Bears?

Also re-reading Song of the Lioness Quartet, which was one of my favorite book series as a kid ( ♥ Tamora Pierce). Blood and Chocolate was another favorite. While I'm at the pool I also am re-reading Marie Antoinette:The Journey, which is a really insightful, detailed biography of the French queen (Sofia Coppola adapted it into the 2006 film). And I'm also a closet Nora Roberts fan; I love how she conveys mood and setting with her imagery.

I tried to get into Michael Scott's "Nicholas Flamel" series, but I just couldn't. I want to re-read Lirael by Garth Nix; I really liked that book when I first read it a few years back, and I need to finish the Abhorsen trilogy!

Clearly I'm an eclectic reader, because I like history, fantasy, contemporary romance and preschooler books, lol.
