Oh my gosh, the bot problem is getting out of hand! (Bwahah, I almost typed "the boy problem"!)

I just banned them, but this morning my inbox was filled with real-sounding comments (some of them even used my name!) but they were all names like tiffany_jewelry and cheaper_gucci. 0_0

I have no idea why I'm getting so much spam suddenly. I had a little bit of spam on my most popular LJ Idol entry, but now they're attacking my other entries too! And worse, responding to comments you guys leave!

And I don't wanna turn on Captcha (even if I knew how to do that!) because I know it makes it hard for people with vision problems to comment. Not very fun! >

There's a Japanese spambot that hits me every now and again but mostly all I do is delete it marked as span and move on. That way it lets LJ know about it and gets it off my journal.

As yours have actual LJ names I do hope you're also reporting them as bots as well as banning them. That way LJ can possibly stop it at the source if they're using the same computer to do everything.

Hopefully if they're coming from the same computer or area by reporting them LJ will be able to watch for it a bit better.

If they were just commenting on my comments and entries, I wouldn't mind much! But they're replying to my friends, too! But really, it's just a teensy ickle problem in the grand scheme of things.

XD Well, it's somebody trying to sell Tiffany Jewelry in a really confusing way that doesn't even have any links so even if you wanted to buy some from the spammers, you couldn't! I don't get spam these days.
