Oct. 19th, 2009 03:31 amTonight, as I was driving home, I saw two little deer cross the street. In the city!
They must have been metropolitan deer --they looked over at my car (as I was the only one on the road) and darted right across the street --single file and tip tap tip tap tip ('cause this is how I imagine deer sound when they walk on pavement)-- close enough to the crosswalk that it looked oddly normal. Like they knew what they were doing.
